Abstract

Thyroid cancer is a malignant nodular formation that develops from the follicular or parafollicular (C-cells) epithelium of the thyroid gland. Distinguish between follicular, papillary, medullary, anaplastic cancer and thyroid lymphoma, as well as its metastatic lesions. Clinically, thyroid cancer presents with difficulty swallowing, tightness and sore throat, hoarseness, coughing, weight loss, weakness, and sweating. Diagnostics is carried out according to ultrasound, MRI and thyroid scintigraphy. However, the main criterion is the detection of cancer cells in the material obtained with a fine-needle biopsy of the gland.. Therefore, prevention of relapses can be an adequate volume and accurate execution of the first surgical intervention.
